ONE OF THE GREATEST SHOWS EVER!!!

ABC's "LOST"

For those who have been under a rock since 2004, you need to crawl from under ASAP! Trust me. When ABC debuted "Lost", I thought it was another show in the vein of that "Survivor" shit. Man was I wrong. Turns out, in 2009, five years in, a friend of mine was using the computer in my house. He seemed to be glued to the monitor. I asked him what he was watching. Determined not to be disturbed, he rapidly replied: "Lost". I said okay and kept it moving. Couple weeks later, another friend of mine approached me all bubble eyed and said: "Jordan, I'm gonna introduce you to the greatest show ever!!". I said sarcastically: "Sorry, too late. I've seen every season of "Desperate Housewives" and the new season is debuting very soon."

.........!!!

Oh shit, did I just admit that to you guys? Yes I did. I would appreciate your discretion.
Thank you.

So any how, he laughs and says: "No. Not Desperate Housewives, but "Lost".

Damn it! There goes that show again. When more than one person tells me I'm missing something great, I'm gonna check it out. So I did, I caught up on all of the seasons on Hulu.com. Hulu, please cut my check. Fast forward, I've been introduced to one of the greatest shows ever. Sad but true, this up-coming season will the series' last. However, I'm sure they will create a horizontal DVD box set that will feature a picture on each season, making one bigger picture from left to right.

Quick treat! Click the "Lost" picture to watch what I watch.

EMINEM - "RELAPSE" (ALBUM REVIEW)

EMINEM - "RELAPSE" (ALBUM REVIEW)

Personally, I think it's better than his last effort "Encore", but lesser than his first three LP's. However, I did only listen to it once. With a couple more listen's I'll know for certain if it's better than, or equivalent to "The Eminem Show". Off top, it's NO WAY NEAR "The Slim Shady LP" or "The Marshall Mathers LP". Those two albums are just un-toppable, even by the man himself. I SUPPORT real artists so I'm still gonna cop it, but I couldn't resist the download.

If you're not as fortunate to get your hands on the album early, then be sure to BUY IT May 19th. Unless, the release date is pushed up, AND STILL BUY IT.

New Internet Show called PROPZ!!

Ladies, gentleman, boys and girls of all ages, HA HA HA HA!! Damn I crack myself up. Okay, let's be serious. There is a new internet show by Mark "M-Pyre" Barnes called PROPZ. Like myself, he feels he can say whatever the hell he wants. The show focuses on what he feels should be given PROPZ, and what shouldn't. For those who aren't aware of the street word PROPZ, here's the definition in layman's terms.

PROPZ: (noun) Pronunciation (Props)

1) Propz: an act of recognizing or the state of being recognized.

With that said, the show is DOPE!! Here's is Episode 1.

DOPE 80's Video!!

Man! How dope was the 80's? The sounds were incredible. Not to mention, Kim Wilde was HOT!! Enjoy this throwback video and reflect on how life was in 1987 when this song rocked # 1 on Billboard's Hot 100.

The Fountain Of Youth Has Been Found!!

Madonna had a photoshoot for some magazine to promote her album, which I believe, was released last year in April. Don't quote me on that, or, you can, it's my blog. I get to say whatever I want :) Aint it cool? But okay, let's get to the point as to why this is even in the Dope Report. Madonna looked old and tired. I wondered where the hell her makeup artists were. Anyway, I wanted to bring her as close as I could to the hot chick many men have wasted tons of lubricant on in the 80's and most of the 90's : ) Check out the before and after. Remember When Hip Hop Used To Sound Like This?

Today, people will argue till no end about whether or not music made by the likes of Soulja Boy and other artists such as himself is actually real "Hip Hop". A couple of years ago I've found myself in these endless debates. However, I've learned that life is a cycle. The 90's was mine, and it's obvious that the 2000's belongs to the new school. So I guess the music is still Hip Hop, just an evolved version of it. In reality, it's no different than me trying to push off 90's Hip Hop and having the older generation tell me that the 80's was real Hip Hop because they were all about community and respect. Opposed to rapping about drugs, guns, bling bling, cristal and hoes. Anyhow, this video is what I used to know in the Hip Hop world and still love. I'm only 24, but damn this video takes me back. I feel old : )

Great Job Will Smith! *Update To The "Great Job Hollywood" Blog.

I saw "Seven Pounds" just a few minutes ago. I now understand what the film is about. It's clear that they couldn't give too much away in the previews. Will Smith will probably win an Oscar this time around. If you haven't, go see it.

R.I.P. Dirt

Ladies and gentleman. We are here today to not only celebrate the death, but the life of a wonderful show. Dirt was smart, funny, and one of the greatest things I have ever know. Every week when we looked into each others eyes we connected. Who would have thought those moments wouldn't have lasted forever? The police have arrested the suspects in question. A source revealed that it was the Writers Guild of America's last strike that killed this great piece of visual entertainment. After a remarkable Season 1 and a flatline later, they tried to resuscitate it with Season 2. Content brought forth by their new staff of hack writers. It was clear that the term "Rest In Peace" held no weight with the network. But it holds weight now. There will not be a Season 3 airing in 09". Dirt can finally rest in peace.

Great Job Hollywood!

Hollywood is notorious for keeping dark secrets in that little world of theirs. But this secret just happens to be on the lighter side of their planet. It's Will Smith's new movie "Seven Pounds". I've been following the different version of trailers since the first one debuted. And yet, I still HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE HELL THAT FILM IS ABOUT!! And yet, I still wanna see it. They did a greater job hiding the meaning of this film than Anne Frank did during the German occupation of the Netherlands in World War II. To ensure I'm not crazy, the trailer is below. Watch it and tell me if you can explain clearly what the film is about. By the way, I'm well aware it's in theaters today. So no cheating! I'm going to see it next week.

First Dope Video!

This is from U.K. Director Luis Arnold. He first caught my attention when I saw his free running video for Australian Drum & Bass band Pendulum's song "Streamline".

London Free Running Family Jam August 9th 2008.

Song featured in the video is "Where Did The Sun Go?" by U.K. rappers Foreign Beggars featuring Anik & Tommy Evans.

Welcome To The Dope Report!

What's up? This is Jordan Ray Allen. The Dope Report is my way of speaking on whatever "I think" is dope at the time, or was at some point. F.Y.I. when I say DOPE, I'm not talking about drugs. Dope is an old school slang term created by the good folks of New York's urban streets circa late 80's - early 90's. With that said, it's time to rant! The damn about me section doesn't allow you to fully represent yourself. It cuts you off after 1200 characters!! But I'm from the streets of New York. We're born hustlers! So watch me hustle this damn blog and still say everything I want you to know about me. Are you ready? Read below.

ABOUT ME

WHO IS JORDAN RAY ALLEN?

First and foremost, I wish I was an octopus. The extra arms would really come in handy to help me deal with everything that I am involved in. Come to think of it, maybe I should tell you exactly what it is that I do.

BUSINESS

1) I am a screenwriter (In "normal" words) I write scripts for movies.

2) I am 1/2 of the creative team behind CRAZYWORLD the animated series NOW PLAYING On YouTube.

3) I am co-owner of Omen M-Pyre Designs, in which we specialize in photographic design, Myspace layouts, flyers, etc.

4) I go under an alias DJ Aray in which I produce original music ranging from Hip Hop, Trip Hop, House, Chilled, Trance, Techno, Downtempo and Atmosphere.

5) I am a networking junkie. So when I'm not doing for self, I'm working with someone on something.

Now that's the business side of me. In my free "Be Jordan Time", I practice card magic that will blow your mind. I'm serious! I've had audiences call me everything from Witch to Devil because of my magic. (That just made me laugh)

RANDOMNESS

I think Starbucks and any good Sushi bar are the greatest gifts from GOD!! I can listen to NWA's F*** The Police and follow it up with Bjork's angelic voice in Venus As A Boy. I still own and play the original Nintendo and Super Nintendo. If anyone wants to get smashed in Madden 95", give me a call (Except for Russell! You cheat every time). With that said, this is the rest of me in a nutshell. Love movies, despise racism, great cook, love family, hate family, need music, wear deodorant, DC sneakers, clean cut, God exists.
